Mega lo Mania is a classic strategy game from the makers of Sensible Soccer and Wizkid, which is still an immersive game today.

As I record most of my footage at the start of the year, and work on it over the rest of the year, in preparation for a series, by the time is gets to this stage in the reviews it seems the recorded footage is quite old. But this is to save me being at the last minute with everything and gives me a choice of games to review given time constraints. With this week being Christmas week, I had to get this review completed ahead of time so that I could spend all day Christmas Day with my folks, so the volume balancing had to be a rush job.
The introduction speech was NOT part of the game itself, and I almost put a caption in the intro saying as much. I dont like to include anything which is not part of the games in case someone plays them and feels disappointed that the speech/bubbles aren't there. But I made an effort to voice over the intro speech again because it felt appropriate. I based the voice initially on Patrick Moore, with a combination of him and the voice of the game itself which says "Ergonomically Designed" (or whatever it says). I didnt get into the role until close to the end of the speech, but thats fine because you can tell its me at the start, and hopefully this helps solve any confusion.
I found a couple of images of the Sensible Team from a review of Wizkid, and also a few from the launch of Mega lo Mania from Amiga Power, so these helped make the review a bit more more interesting. These images came from AP cover scans from The Amiga Magazine Rack, which I edited and touched up. I tried to find an FM Towns video for the Comparison Zone, but in the end I couldnt, and had to make do with the identical SNES and SMD versions.
