We go back to the American 1920's and 30's with this deep south backwoods racing adventure. But is this game really so yee-haw?

Production Notes:
Ripped: 8th April 2015
Edited: 25th, 26th and 28th January 2016

I'd never given this game a proper play before, so I decided to give it the full beans to try to get through the game. Without knowing the strategy for the upgrades, I found it difficult to get through, but I'm sure with practice this game is doable. I think the player gets a new vehicle every 5 levels, from a truck to a car to a better truck (or is that a Pickup?) for the last levels, so having got to level 9 or 10 in the review, the very next level should have given me the final vehicle (or at least thats what I noticed recently while scanning the longplay vid). There was also a crackling sound in the audio when I moved the mouse pointer in the shop, so I had to cover those parts in the vid with my own audio, and this lead to the voices.

I almost chickened out of adding the voices, knowing yet again it could be a hit or miss thing if it wasnt done right, and wasnt funny. And there are so many captions in the game it would be hard to cover them all. Ike was based on a male version of Margery Main or perhaps Charley Grapewin. Billy Joe was Clark Gable. Tucker was a mix of Jimmy Stewart and Charley Grapewin. Fat Sam was a random deep south, mixed with WC Fields. The dogs were both Lukozer, and I meant to change one or the other before, but they both sounded great so kept them both in. Apparently, the beagle is from Crouch End, the bulldog is from Southend (on-sea), and thats why they hate each other.

The whdload version didnt seem to have any credits on the intro as the music played, so I added some movie-like gold text. If the real game turns out to have had something here, I'm going to look a bit of a fool.

Bugs: Also, due to claim by youtube for the use of copyright music, when in fact the section they highlighted only contains my narration. So this video is/was blocked in certain counties for no reason. I have filed a dispute claim over this, and I hope to have the vid unblocked soon.
