The BAe 146 was a revolution in short haul passenger and freight services throughout Europe and beyond. Filling a niche between turboprop regional aircraft and long haul aircraft, British Aerospace envisaged an aircraft serving the role of feeding into the major passenger routes as well as offering performance suitable to operate in smaller and more restrictive airports.

Designed to be affordable to not only operate but to maintain, the aircraft proved popular with a number of operators, and evolved into a variety of versions including transport and military versions. Today the aircraft still flies, though primarily now as a transport and as a firefighting platform. The BAe 146's flightdeck represented the era the aircraft found itself in, poised between steam and digital ages, while its later evolution the Avro RJ had more digital avionics.

Just Flight leverages their experience with this aircraft and recreate it once more for Microsoft Flight Simulator.

Join me for this in-depth review as we take to the skies in Australia to see how they did!
