Seven years have passed since that shocking last scene in the original "Castlevania"
And the stage has returned to the remote countryside of Transylvania…
The hero, Simon Belmont, defeated Dracula and put his body into one hundred years of slumber.
But he was fighting at the expense of his own body.
The scars on his back from his battle with Dracula were eating away at his flesh day by day, and he felt his death approaching.
One morning, Simon came to the grave of the Belmont clan on the Hill of Angels.
And he was looking back on his life.
He suddenly felt someone's presence, and turned to see a young woman standing within the mist.
A woman spoke to Simon.
"Your life is affected by an evil curse.
You don't live long at this rate.
But if your heart still has the courage to risk your life against evil, God will endow you power.
The power of the evil curse builds up over the years, and when that power reaches its peak, Dracula will be resurrected once again.
There is only one way to permanently annihilate that body.
Dracula's body begins its resurrection today, seven years after it was shattered.
The five parts of the body will appear on earth.
While the power of the curse is weak, you must find his body, bring it to Dracula's castle, and burn it to the ground.
This shall put an end to the legend of Dracula.
Then the wound on your back will also be healed from the curse.
This is the only way to annihilate Dracula forever"
With those last words, the woman disappeared into the mist.
And so, the hero, Simon Belmont, set out again with a new decision.
You cannot turn back anymore!
Fear not, brave Simon!
