NG: Spirit Hunter Volume 2 - Switch Review - Tarks Gauntlet
NG Spirit Hunter Volume 2 is a mouthful that does little to nothing for the games marketing, and this is a game that could definitely use some extra help in its marketing!
NG is the second entry in the Spirit Hunter anthology. The first entry was last years Death Mark. Death Mark was undoubtedly a gem. It grabbed me from the beginning, sank its teeth in and didn't let go. Every moment was a gripping and wild visual novel, point and click puzzle game, horror-adventure.
NG mechanically works the same. This is also a visual novel, it is also horror-themed, and it is also a point and click adventure game with puzzle solving elements. That said there are some pretty stark differences between the two games and the quality is definitely varying already, but is it still worth the purchase?
Well today I took a look at the game on nintendo switch, and this is what I thought.
PS- There is a riddle I discuss that I felt didn't translate well to English. It comes to my attention that one of your partners drops better hints for solving it than the other, so it is possible to get it in-game without a guide. I don't want to give the impression that the riddle is broken. It's not. It's just incredibly obtuse.
