Mr. Maellard (first name unknown) is a recurring character as well as a supporting character of Regular Show. He was the owner of The Park until the series finale, Benson's boss, the adoptive father of Pops, and husband of Mrs. Maellard. He has an office on the third story of the House where he is seldom seen. He made his first appearance in the Season Two Episode "Dizzy" and was voiced by the late David Ogden Stiers. He died sometime between Pops' death and the Park's 25-Year Reunion.

HISTORY
Early life
Mr. Maellard was born on Lolliland somewhere in the early 1700s. He eventually arrived on Earth, which has became his lifelong homeworld. He later met his love, Mrs. Maellard and married her.

Brief encounters with the Park crew
Mr. Maellard came to encounter the Park Crew in brief times, during their adventures. Mr. Maellard watches his son’s speech about The Park and was proud of him. Mr. Maellard hires Susan and demotes Benson from his job, then later fires him. When Susan transforms into a giant red monster and threatened Mr. Maellard, Benson (and Leon, indirectly) saved his life and Mr. Maellard rehires Benson afterward.

Dome Experiment
Mr. Maellard hired some scientists to install the Dome into the Park, revealing to the Park crew that since he’s very rich, he can spend his money whenever he wants. However, little do they know, Mr. Maellard actually had the Dome to take the Park crew to the space so they can save the universe and battle Pops’ evil twin brother, Anti-Pops.

Bidding farewell
Mr. Maellard appears at the near climax of the episode “Rigby's Graduation Day Special” where he watches the Park flying, along with the Park crew into the space. Mr. Maellard wiped off his tears and Dr. Langer assured him that Pops is safe.

After paparazzi cornered him and started asking multiple questions about the Domes flying off and disappearing into the space, Mr. Maellard angrily offers no comments, saying that he’s rich, before putting his hand to cover the camera.

Mourning his son’s passing
Mr. Maellard appeared in the very end of the series, where he watches the Dome returning back after three years. Mordecai notices Mr. Maellard shedding tears for his son, who died in the battle. Mordecai looked sympathetic towards Mr. Maellard, then later, Mr. Maellard attended Pops’ funeral, mourning his passing.

Death
Mr. Maellard later passed away sometime between Pops’ Final Battle with Anti-Pops and the Park’s 25-Year Reunion. His statue was built and was put alongside his son’s statue. While Mr. Maellard passed away, he was able to reunite with his son in the afterlife.

APPEARANCE
Mr. Maellard is also a Lollipop from Lolliland, just like his adopted son, Pops. He appears as a squat man with a wrinkled and warped round head, as well as greenish skin (his head slightly resembles the moon). He normally wears a black suit with a dark green scarf and uses a gold-tipped cane to walk with. He also has a brown pipe that is always in his mouth. He tends to be in a bad mood the majority of the time.

PERSONALTY
Maellard seems to be pretty strict. Most of the time he always yells and gets mad at Benson, much like how Benson always yells and gets mad at Mordecai and Rigby. He is shown to be a very greedy businessman who cares little to none about his employees. This is evident with his treatment toward Benson, as in Season 2 when he didn't even call Benson by his name and referred to him as Beanhead, Ball bucket, and Benton. It is only after the end of the episode Benson Be Gone that he calls him Benson and gives him some appreciation. He almost always blames Benson for the problems that occur in the park even though it is due to the actions of Mordecai and Rigby, under the logic that since he's in charge it's his responsibility. He is also quite eccentric, as evident in episodes like "Maellard's Package" where he claims a very important package needs to be picked up, which turns out to be a Bánh mì (which could have been easily picked up from a vendor). However, Maellard does show a degree of care and affection towards Pops and does whatever he can to help him in certain situations for his son's growth.
