Joan Wilder, the author of popular women's novels, finds in her mailbox a package sent from Colombia by her sister. A phone call confirms the most terrible fears - the sister has been kidnapped, and the kidnappers demand to return the package.

Forgetting about everything in the world, Joan flies to help her sister and gets lost in the first hours after arrival. They are trying to kill her, and only the intervention of Jack Colton, an American mercenary, will save the girl from death.

Together they are waiting for extreme adventures in the jungle, a treasure hunt and, of course, a romantic love story.
