Broadsword won! But it was quite a close battle. I slipped up on a lot of basics in this one. Not sure if it's the tournament formatting that throws me off, or if I'm just inconsistent :D

either way, always a good fight with Dave!

Today we were fighting to the experimental ruleset for the Order of the Blades' upcoming tournament, The Crossing of Blades: https://www.facebook.com/events/399046282649310
Points:
1 point for hits to arm/leg/extremities
3 points for solid hit to the head or torso & inner thigh

Fairly straight forward, continuous sparring until a "killshot"/3 pointer is hit.
Or three single pointers are received.
First to 10 points wins.

The fun part is going to be, this will be a mixed weapon tournament! So we won't all have to go toe-to-toe sabre to sabre, we can use sword and buckler, shields, broadswords, anything we want provided it meets safety reqs!
Going to be a great laugh.
