After mk arrow kick, just do drive rush and then delay st mp to get meaty mp. You must press mp at the very last frame of your drive rush, otherwise the mp will whiff. If done correctly, It will give you +5 on block and +11 on counterhit. You can also mix it up with command grab which will also beat opponent's wake up lp. Again you must do command grab at the very end of your drive rush frames when Jamie is already in front of the opponent. As you know, both st mp and command grab are both 8 frames so you can mix up your opponent for some scary damage! Works on both recovery options!
