Here is a continuation of my Jamie meaty palm setup video. Meaty palm gives Jamie a +1 frame advantage on block but some chars have longer pokes than others. For example, Luke’s cr lp reaches farther than Cammy’s cr lp eventhough both have 4 frame start up. You can counter Cammy’s cr lp with Jamie’s st mk but you can’t do it against Luke’s cr lp because it reaches farther. This makes it harder to punish but I did discover a a way. To beat chars with longer reaching cr lp, you have to take a micro step back and then whiff punish with Jamie 's st hp. This will give you a counter hit which you can link into Jamie’s target combo. If opponent tries using st lk or cr mp to counter your st hp, you can use Jamie 's b + hp to counter and punish since this move causes Jamie’s hitbox to move back a bit which will make the opponent’s buttons whiff. For cr mk, you can use Jamie 's faster normals like cr mp or instant dive kick. This works on most of the cast with the exception of a few like Deejay, Gief, Sim, and Marisa. I will try doing videos for those chars as well.
