What if King’s Field was survival horror?
Note that this is not a 100% playthrough, though I do show every area.
I am a masochist but I have my limits.
This is segmented and edited. I’m using PGXP and a widescreen hack.

Notes
There is no music. Mileage will vary but the game has atmosphere. It probably does not come across in video and this might actually just be the dullest thing around to watch, though.

Unlike King’s Field, Shadow Tower does not have a traditional leveling system. Instead, you gain stat points by defeating enemies and using items. There are no infinitely respawning enemies and RNG is a significant factor throughout the entire game. Since I have no idea what most of the stats do, I just dump it all into strength and speed.

Additionally, there is no Moonlight Sword or Dark Slayer or equivalent secret to pursue. The goal of the game is simply to defeat the bosses and get to the bottom of the tower.

There is no compass and yes, this makes it incredibly easy to get disoriented.

For the Lingering Curse Layer, you are unable to fight the NPC that talks to you. The area is entirely superfluous.
