I don't know what you were expecting when we'd finally get to confront Godwyn, but I'm sure you weren't imagining us having to fight Rogier of all people, among a group of champions who had all hugged Fia and shared some vigor with her.

This does confirm that Rogier was indeed talking with Fia and, as D said, was "seduced" by someone who "lived in death".

I can't say much about that, since I wound up hearing her out and not getting in her way too...

I just couldn't bring myself to kill her. It wouldn't bring D back, and I can see both sides. Those who live in death didn't ask for it. I don't even know how much autonomous control Godwyn even has, being that he has no soul and all.
