This is the Spec Ops The Line Private Multiplayer Demo which is a 2010 version/build of Spec Ops The Line's multiplayer mode! The demo was originally released around July 16th 2010 and was a private beta for those who signed up on 2K's website back when they were originally promoting Spec Ops The Line for the very first time. The beta had a limited number of participants who were under a non-disclosure agreement not to record footage or share any screenshots, which is why footage of this demo is almost non existence besides ONE four minute video on YouTube. The Private Demo was lost media up until June 22nd 2023, when an anonymous user on Internet Archive posted a full download to the beta. This version of Spec Ops The Line is only playable through an Xenia emulator with custom configuration files along with it. I took a tour through the menus, options, classes and explored ALL three beta maps too see how different this July 2010 version of Spec Ops The Line Multiplayer is from the official final release of Spec Ops The Line Multiplayer back in June 2012. There are several huge changes such as map layouts, character models, voice actors, weapon models, HUD, and even a helicopter that drops in care packages every match! There were so many interesting discoveries in this beta and I can only hope to discover even more as I datamine through the game's files.
