Okay so today, Im going to be talking about depression, what it is, how it can affect an individual and also give you 5 things that you can do to potentially help if you have depression or you know someone who does.
Ill start by saying that , Im not a qualified Medical Practitioner but I’ve had depression pretty much all my life and have had and continue to have lots of experience with it in my day to day life and it’s something that’s always with me and can be a struggle to handle sometimes. I have seen doctors, psychiatrists, hypnotherapists, AcuPuncturists (If that’s even a word) and wanted to kind of do a video that may be able to offer up some different solutions to try and help you through those dark times. I certainly do not want to preach and say…
“Hey these things helped me so naturally they are going to help you”? Try them only if you feel its something you want to do. If you don’t enjoy them then at the very least, I hope this video will empower you to try out some of your own tips and techniques. In fact, why not leave some in the comments section let me know if they have worked for you and Ill even try some of your suggestions and let you know in a future video how I got on!
Okay so let’s first discuss what depression is and I will place links in the video description so you guys can see where I got my information from and you can read further on it if you like. The information for this video was researched using British and the National health Service websites the NHS is the health provider here. I decided just for this video to stick to my own experiences with the NHS If you are watching this from another country then your health system might be slightly different in the way healthcare is handled. In fact I may even do some research on different countries healthcare to see what they offer and how they work. I decided for my first video just to try and keep things simple. I don’t want to bog you down with too many statistics and depression is something that everyone regardless of age, gender or race can suffer from.
