Saiyuki: The Journey West is a good tactical rpg. The pixel art is really good, the story is okay with maybe too many sub plots in it, and some mechanics which kind of make the game stand out.
Like a lot of other Koei games this is based off a historical account and also has a folklore version of it as well. Both work really well to tell the story.
