38With the Old Timer Edition 935 coming real soon as a Platinum Summit Reward and with the 917K now out in the wild, it was high time I tested all of Classic Porsche in the Touring Car Discipline. Where does the 917K place? Well...
Top Speed: Above Average
Acceleration: Average
Nitrous: Average
Cornering Speed: Average
Handling: the car is pretty light on its feet which is expected, however in terms of grip limits, it has a few. It corners quicker than the 935, but that car has much better cornering speed as a whole. This car looses speed in the corners a bit too much.
Performance: it's one of the fastest Touring cars in a straight line, capable of well over 260 MPH on its own. The 935 rivals that.
Conclusion: its top speed keeps it up with some of the fastest, but its handling prevents it from cracking the more competitive cars. What's more disappointing is that on track the 935 and both classic 911s are just faster in almost every way, leaving this car behind.
