The Master Sword is a recurring legendary sword in The Legend of Zelda series, most known for being the weapon of the hero Link. It has appeared in many games in the series with different designs and abilities. For example, in the 1991 action-adventure video game A Link to the Past, the Master Sword is a simple fantasy sword with a generic design. In The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild, the Master Sword does not break but it does run out of energy. It takes 10 minutes to recharge. The Master Sword has an attack power of 30 which jumps to 60 when Link is fighting Calamity enemies. The weapon throw is replaced by a beam attack usable only when Link has full hearts.
