It's the third game in the Warcraft universe and it takes place in the fictional world of Azeroth, where the Orcs have been defeated by the Alliance after many years of fighting. The events of this game occur several years after Warcraft II. The time period between them was originally intended to be told in Warcraft Adventures, but it has been cancelled during development. In Warcraft III, you can choose between four races: Humans, Orcs, the Night Elves and the Undead.
