Similar strategy to Himiko set-up to regain Health, but instead, he uses Alacrity. Use Musou when his Health gets really low to trigger Alacrity.
In regular and ninja stages, this set-up works really well, C1 followed up with C3-3-3 is wonderful and is safe. Triggering Alacrity normally through his WD is very easy for him to do, because he has a very good WD (especially the aerial WD because of high combo count).
After getting them to unblock with C1 (because C1 is wonderful; no it really is, because it has Ice element by default and stuns them for a LONG time), C3-3 is capable of OHKO generics. Aggression C3-3-3 can OHKO everything, even Kotaro Fuma (assuming full-hit).
However, in archer he does play risky and can get into trouble, but not so much than the most of the rosters (in my opinion) 'worse' than him. With this playstyle, he does not have to abuse Resurrection as much, because reflex on the Musou button is kind of mandatory to maintain his Health green.
To be honest, his offense was never the issue, it was his survivability due to lack of absorption through his normal movesets, that was what really tore this man apart. He can replace one of his elements or Blast, for Verity (True Musou), but that's asking for too much because no one does archer runs for fun.
