The Sega Saturn had some great shooters, in Japan. One of them was Batsugun. Even in its beta form, the Sega Saturn MiSTer FPGA core looks great! Sega's Saturn was a failure in the west, but popular in Japan. Unfortunately, that makes the system rather rare. The system does have some great games, again mostly in Japan. In this short, I show a side-by-side comparison of a real Sega Saturn, connected via a Hyperkin HDMI adapter (link below) and the MiSTer FPGA core for this console. The game I am featuring is Batsugun. I love shooters, and the Sega Saturn had a lot of great ones.
