Ys: Memories of Celceta Playthrough (2013/2020) (PS4)
0Welp, here is my first time doing an Ys playthrough. Ys was originally developed back in 1987 by Falcom. An Action RPG series that spawned many sequels and a few spin-off titles. This title in particular is a spin off. I imagine that you folks think this game is somewhat inferior to the mainline series, not a bad game mind you. I think it's pretty good overall. What's funny, is that you don't rotate the camera at all in this game, but it takes a bit to get used to though. Instead you use the second analog stick to zoom in/out your viewpoint. That's not a bad thing though. I explored the underground cave for this playthrough with Adol Christin, a red haired dude with his partner, Duren, which you can clearly see, he is much older than him, maybe in his late 30's or 40's I'm guessing. Is he Adol's father? Most likely not, I'm not even sure if he any parents at all. Do you know for certain?
I was originally gonna buy this game on my PS Vita back in 2017, but I didn't get the chance, but my brother pre-ordered this game from Amazon in late April 2020 when the Covid pandemic first struck us. It arrived on June 19th, 2020 from a parcel card in my local Canada Post here in my hometown of Hudson, Bay. SK. My brother also purchased some other things as well like an Xbox One game, a Blu-ray, a 3DS game and a PS4 from the same place.
This particular Ys spin off title is definitely worth checking out. Maybe buy the original version on the PS Vita and see what you think. I wonder if this game is a remake of some of the previous entries or it's own original thing. Oh and that opening theme is Incredible.
