Part 24 of my Metroid Prime 100% Walkthrough.

In this part, we fight and defeat the Grapple Guardian and get our Grapple Beam back.

GRAPPLE GUARDIAN
Difficulty: 4/10

The Grapple Guardian is a bit of an annoying boss, mainly in terms of actually being able to hit it. The goal is to shoot its eye enough to momentarily stun it, then get around behind it and attack its back. The problem here, is that it turns around very quickly so we don't get much time for Super Missiles. The IS an alternative though, as the Light Beam works just as well. For attacks, the Grapple Guardian will either ram us, or launch a grapple beam at us and reel us in like a fish, meaning its best to stay behind the electric pole to keep away from it.
