Alien Trilogy was Probe Entertainment’s atmospheric take on the trilogy. About Aliens. It was referred to as a ‘Doom clone’ back in the day, and… that’s because it really was a Doom clone. But it had a bunch of specialness going for it thanks to that atmosphere, and the music, and just the fact it was a game based on Alien (and Aliens, and Alien 3).

I meant to look at Aliens vs Predator, Rebellion’s 1999 wonder, but got distracted and fell down the hole looking at this one instead: Alien Trilogy was something I adored in the mid-90s, but it’s clear to see it has… aged.
