Desert Strike. Jungle Strike. Urban Strike. Soviet Strike. Nuclear Strike. Future Strike. All of them fun games; some of them classics; one of them, not actually a game. EA’s Strike series is fondly remembered by those who remember it, but are these remembrances silly? And why did a series once so beloved rise so suddenly and fall so (fairly) quickly? I don’t know, but I’ve played the games and have some thoughts.

Honestly, with some tweaking to the setting and attitude of the whole thing, I’d be extremely keen on a Desert Strike reboot. I know you’re reading this, EA.

(and yes I’m aware a lot of the Strike series is tongue-in-cheek; doesn’t change what I say/think/feel)
