There are like, 2 horror RPG's from the Early 2000's-2010's era of the Internet.
The first of the two that comes to mind, albeit somewhat strangely, is Creepypasta Land.
The second on is Ao Oni, but I find it somewhat amusing that I even remember it given the circumstances.
I used to watch a lot of early Pewdiepie... trust me this ties into whatever weird thing I'm about to say-

There were many Let's-Players in the early 2010's who played and recorded this game.
The big three of these youtubers that come to my mind looking back now are Pewdiepie, CoryxKenshin, and "Hello everybody my name's" Markiplier.
The interesting thing is... I never watched any of these channels play the game, at least not fully.
I didn't watch Markiplier play it, I wasn't even aware of CoryxKenshin at that point, and I didn't watch Pewdiepie like, actually play through it.
The ONLY exposure I had to Ao Oni pre-2019 was from this "Funny Moments Compilation" Pewdiepie uploaded... but like, it's now deleted.
I think the only reason that Ao Oni sticked to my brain since then was just the monster's recognizability.
I mean like, just look at the thing.
I'm not saying it gave me night terrors, it's not like that goofy face haunted my thoughts every second.
It's just like, fascinating.

I'm like, 23% sure the reason I remembered this guy is because FNaF was picking up traction when I first discovered him.
So there's this slightly lesser than average chance that I only remember this little RPG Maker horror game because of another tall purple monster man with strange eyes and a relation to the horror genre.
And honestly I think that that thought scares me more than anything I'd see in Ao Oni.

Ao Oni was released 20 years ago and I'm only now experiencing it for myself.
In that 20 years there has been 2 sequels, 2 movies, a manga, and countless videos made about it.
And even after everything it has accomplished and done over the last 2 decades, I can't help but think of early Pewdiepie when I see it.
So... yea.

Honestly I'm not even sure what the point of this description even is besides giving a little background on my "experience" with this game.
