Castlevania N64 - Full Run (By MKKhanzo) 11-03-2024
13Believe it or not, CV64 is among my most beloved entries in the entire saga.
You can say its outdated, clunky controls, bad camera, difficult jumps, but, werent the very same on the OG CV NES games? Save for the camera obnoxiousness of course.
I find this more TRUE to what Castlevania was than any of the other 3d entries.
I loved the horror mood of the game, the quasi ambient music, and specially all the boss encounters, wich of course, legacy of Darkness does better. Some of these musical themes are among my fave on the saga.
I used Parallel64 core on Retroarch for android for this run, while its deathless, I used a couple of savestates here and there because I got lost in the Tunnel like a dork, but they arent intrussive at all so you will see a seameless run. For some reason, the Death battle and Rosa scenes, got slowdown on cutscenes, might be a core glitch? I skipped those.
Also, I dont do any path skip and save at every Save Point I can and left all cinemas save the ones that got slow due to the emulator. I hope you enjoy it.
This video is dedicated to My Mom who isnt anymore with us, my Uncle Ivan who shares his love for videogames and was a big part responsible for all of us his nephews being players, and my cousins Lalista and Mariann, wich are HUGE fans of the game as well since we all shared the best days with it together. I might re-record all runs again using better video quality so be on the lookout!
