5Its no secret that I love Primal Rage
Since that very first GamePro preview in early 1994, I was hooked. A game that made MKII "look like crayon drawings?" having giant Dinosaurs duking it out in bloody combat, using combos and having a deep fighting engine?
How wouldn't I be hyped? Being the dinosaur freak I have always been, and in the primeday of Fighting Games, PR really came in the best of times for me.
It has been an amazing journey so far, learning the game back then, and discovering how amazing it still is, finding huge combos back then in 1997 on the PSX port which was a gift from my friend Antonio. Watching "sicdic" Sauron combovid for the 1st time in the year 2001 or so and saying "hey I have longer combos!" only to find out I had no way of capturing them until way later.
Getting to know with the OG programmers, also all the awesome friendships made along the way. Really, if a game has made ME, its a tie, between UMK3 and Primal Rage.
This video was long overdue, but I can finally join the 1CC club now! Yay. Played on Xbox 360 via backward compatibility, using the OG Xbox Midway Arcade Treasures 2 port on Level 16 difficulty.
