Our upcoming DVD, A Great Big Bunch of CGR Undertow, is nearing completion! We’ve been hard at work on the project over the last several weeks, and as we near the release date, we thought we’d discuss the DVD itself! Although it is technically a collection of our best videos and moments, it’s not simply a bunch of videos slapped on a disc. That would be lame. In fact, the CGR Undertow DVD is a feature-length “movie,” of sorts. It’s a retrospective hosted by Derek and his clone that looks back at CGR Undertow’s past, but along the way, it also tells a story. A really deranged story about murder, greed, avarice and clones.

We’re not even kidding.

In addition to that bizarre, 90-minute main feature, the DVD also includes extra features. There is a documentary in which Derek discusses his background, the creation of CGR Undertow and walks you through a typical day in space, as well as a gag reel that compiles about ten minutes of our favorite moments and lines from past videos! Finally, there’s also a brand new CGR Undertow video made specifically for the DVD—a countdown of the top ten NES games of all time!

A Great Big Bunch of CGR Undertow is on track for an early 2015 release. It’ll be shipped to Kickstarter backers and also available in the CGR Store for everyone else! Oh, joyous day!
