Episode #05 of Deep Blue, a Starcraft II map making series. In this episode, I discuss the concept of "Level Design", and I do some basic terraining to form the map layout. In the Terrain Editor, we create the lanes, the high ground, and smaller paths between each lane as well as designate the creep spawn points.

"Deep Blue" is series about StarCraft II modding. We make a custom map from scratch using the StarCraft II Galaxy Editor and show it's development from start to finish and beyond. For this series, we'll be making an "Aeon of Strife" map (AOS for short). But it's not just about SC2 modding, we also discuss game mechanics and game design theory as we edit the map.
