65Generation Flux, Flex, Y or ZZP: the labels differ, but there is always talk of a generation that, for the first time since the war, will not get better than their parents. But what does 'better' mean? Can we talk differently about this generation than in terms of income, retirement and unemployment figures? How do they experience this crisis and how does it shape them in an age phase that is all about career making, starting a family and thinking about the future?
A portrait of a generation that is becoming mature in the uncertainty of a crisis.

2013 is the year in which the number of unemployed people for the first time equals that of the early 80s. The children who were born during the 80s crisis are now around 30 years old. Director Tomas Kaan makes a snapshot of this generation and looks at how the crisis affects their lives. About a generation that becomes mature in the uncertainty of a crisis, rediscovers old values but finds new ways of living, work and dreams.
In the city we find the vanguard of this generation, which increasingly seems to focus on ways of living that were previously associated with rural areas. Where previously money or possessions played a major role, now rest, real experiences and original stories seem to be of paramount importance. Although this development definitely has romantic features, this generation is indeed focused on the future. In doing so, thoughts about how the ideal world can are an inevitable topic and people dare to dream about utopias again.
We follow the brand new father Robin, who tries to be as independent of money as possible in parts thanks to freecycling, and businesswoman Petra, who sets up a successful business with her rediscovery of the old barber craft.
In the meantime, with his project called Sustainsville, Tom wants to lure the working man in nature and Captain Jorne uses his schooner ship to sail the oceans around the globe in order to transport sustainably produced goods from all over the world.
The successful social entrepreneur Thomas believes in the market as an engine to improve our world, regardless of a boss or subsidies.
