This is a review of my 2015 copy of the Blu-Ray of Dreamworks Animations’ “Shrek 2.” This Blu-ray also includes the DVD rerelease from 2010 and not the original 2004 DVD that I’d reviewed a year ago. The reason why I am doing a review right is on this Blu-ray is because this year, in 2024, is the 20th anniversary of this major box office success from 2004. Because of the film’s 20th Anniversary, Dreamworks Animations and its current owners, Universal Pictures, have made arrangement to theatrically rerelease the film for one week only so that it can make even more money at the box office - even more than when it came out in 2004. This theatrical release will be my second time seeing a theatrical anniversary release, with the first one being last year’s 30th Anniversary of Walt Disney Pictures’ “Hocus Pocus.” I hope enjoy the show and enjoy reliving the memories that Shrek 2 has passed down from generation to generation.
