- DLC Exhibition:
• This is a DLC weapon showcase video, so I will refrain from using (Air) Musou and (True) Rage Musou for offense.

- Analysis:
• Just like most of the DLC weapons, Mandarin Duck Hooks are a load of fun. They can be very mechanical to play with many ways to enjoy them, be it combo chaining + hidden Shadow Sprint (SS) tech (8:57) or just outright obliterating stuff left-and-right with C6-C6.

• Mandarin Duck Hook has a mechanic where they can "memorize" or "store" a charge attack if they follow up any C# with a charge attack button (△ button). Memorized C# will be indicated with glowing orbs around the character. So... memorizing a C6 will have 6 orbs around the character, etc. A memorized C# can be followed up once after any grounded charge attack, allowing it to double up or chain a specified charge attack. Every time a memorized C# is used up, it will need to re-memorize again.

• Unlike most SS, Mandarin Duck Hooks' SS are special. By special, the player can control its SS movement. Much like Lu Lingqi's Crossed Pike where the player can control how her weapon animation attack behaves, Mandarin Duck Hooks' SS can be done the same. Input ↑, ↓, → or ← with the left stick corresponding to the direction the player wants to move to will change SS behavior. Ex: If character is facing:
... West (to the left), inputting ↓ will have it SS to its left.
... South (towards you), inputting ← will have it SS to its right.

• Mandarin Duck Hooks Normal Strings are not too safe. It needs to be extra wary against Affinity disadvantage generic officers because they can suddenly become very aggressive with the slightest angle tilts (2:17 Liu Zan, 7:05 Gu Yong). When a generic is not blocking and aggressively tracking this hard while the player is attacking, it means they are about to strike. For most weapons, as long as the player is attacking in the general direction + vicinity of a generic, regardless of Affinity (electrified or not), they will block. When it comes to this, Emei Piercers' falls into the same category as Mandarin Duck Hooks most likely due to their short reach and not-so-wide Normal Strings hitbox.

- Movesets:
• C6 or C6-C6 is ridiculous. C6 by default carries 4 elements. Double up C6 with Memory and the weapon gets a whopping 8 elements. With C6-C6, Mandarin Duck Hooks doesn't need the full animation to play out to outright OHKO something, it can be spammed to skip animation and the elements will still burst out all at once. C6 by itself, if cancelled early with Memory animation will have its elements cancelled out (most of the time*). C6-C6 is very good with Rage combo filling (3:06, 11:27) and the damage it deals with Induction + Explosive is also incredible in a crowd. A good hit can shatter a good chunk of Storm Rush gauges.

* Sometimes a C6→Memory animation (not C6-C6) can OHKO officers despite only carrying 4 elements. Might be a bug or a timing thing (?). Going to need to test this more (2:12, 8:33).

• Storm Rush is very possible with its C6 Induction + Explosive, but it is a pretty bad Storm Rush (1:19, 1:46).

• Shadow Sprint (SS) can be used after any C#, but cannot be followed up from a "Memory animation." Remember that the SS _CAN_ be steered with the left stick to strategically sneak behind targets for combos, Storm Rush shattering, etc. Note: SS to its sides (180°) has a slightly faster recovery than SS forward.

• Switch Attack (SA) does NOT contain invincibility frames and is honestly, pretty bad for crowd control. Run away or use Musou for safety.

- Option(s):
• Slash is very viable and can replace Induction if preferred. The ability to shatter Storm Rush is nice, but it is not as valuable due to it being kind of bad (but it is nice for invincibility frames since Mandarin Duck Hooks lacks SA invincibility as well as poor defensive escape maneuvers). The combo potential on Mandarin Duck Hooks is off the charts so juggling officers with Slash is kind of fun.

• Jump Charge (JC) can be used as an escape tool, but it is has a slow start up time and can be poked out of by projectiles.

• C5 has good invincibility with decent AoE and physical damage while C4 has double element. C4 elements can be somewhat buggy to land sometimes despite the elemental animation activating (4:55).
