Frame count: 2m53s833ms. Got another 2m53s a few days later, 0.15s off PB, and then a 3rd, 14ms off PB. So I'm gaining consistency. This PB slightly beats what was record when I got my 2m54s run. Day 2 of derust runs, although one week later. Managed to PB with a pretty good run but some sloppy small timelosses and bad RNG. My menu'ing and cabin movement is losing quite a few frames still but again I'm getting used to this, d-pad controls in particular.

2nd place is 2m52s266ms by TheMightyMeatBag

World record is 2m51s733ms by PGHGuitarGuy, so I need to cut off at least 2.2 seconds to get record. It could happen any time, but I don't expect it to just yet. Probably smaller PBs after this.


Timelosses/gain

Day 1 -- 1.25s (0.5s behind previous PB): Late entering cabin for note since I was too far right prior to knife spawn, bad menu-ing/paths into woods cabin, had a slightly slow scroll for the last day 1 fight, I tend to prevent that to cut a few frames. I think the full timesave would be 2s for day 1 since you can wing the knife spawn a lot more and enter the cabin as early as mid 53 on the buzzer, it's not consistent though.

Day 2 -- 1.25s (0.5s behind previous PB): 2 zombie spawns, first badly dealt with by going up and down the path which I thought was quicker since it should prevent a 2nd zombie spawn later by having advanced the screen more. It didn't due to me throwing an extra time while he ran off, this deals damage but it kept me still as he ran off, this made the 2nd zombie spawn inevitable, since the more you advance the screen, the quicker you catch up to Jason. Up and down the path seems to lose time in this situation, but would maybe break even if it's not used for a zombie spawn like this, cost roughly a half second.

Day 3 -- 2s (saved 1.5 previous PB): 2 zombie spawns.


The zombie spawns you can't really help, but I often get runs with a good zombie on day 2 in particular, usually no 2nd zombie which I could've avoided here. It will take some time to get 2:50 or lower. A 2:49 I think should be possible with time but it's tight.

All around a decent run, mostly time was lost to bad luck. Should get a new PB soon. A 2:55 derust run last week had lost 3 seconds. For some reason the text noise on the last few letters was absent on the end screen, I think a glitch with the capture.
