30:04 with the new timing method (start time from gaining control of Link). This was allowed as of July 2022 and premade files after the intro are also allowed. So maybe I'll make it a 29 one day, it's been years by now since I really ran this game seriously. World record wouldn't take that much work either (I'll still be watching intro though because I simply feel it's more legitimate). That doesn't make any runs not watching it illegitimate necessarily, the leaderboard rules are as they are. This is just my own perception, so I'll keep watching the intro.

33:00 on the dot haha. Record is currently 32:08, might try to snag it at some point. (29:13 without intro)

This was an OK but still pretty bad run that I got on my last attempt during stream. 33:12 (actually 33:11) on these splits are from my first attempt. Since getting back into Ganonless a little over a week ago I've improved my PB over 2 minutes since late 2015 (was 2nd place at the time, but the category wasn't very optimized yet)

Although OK given I haven't run it for long there are some pretty nasty timelosses in the early section. Pretty good Fire Temple but also still improvable, had some bad movement in spots and hadn't learned the double chu HESS in maze room which is really easy. Basically lost the 32 because of 2.5s timeloss from equipping tunic late thinking I would have 0:04 on the timer, but I had 0:03 because it was a glitched half heart and I didn't notice. I also didn't know I could've backflipped before the 0:03 was in place, I could've done it in a large window before it positioned itself below the hearts, so that's the only reason I actually waited. If I did have 0:04 one the timer, it would've been better because I'd only have wasted 1 second instead of nearly 3 lol.

15s in child
6s stupid goron (mostly my fault because I didn't get the damage off Anju and tried to use him)
3s frog
3s enter fire
10s on hammer (improvable gold)
5s final split

Probably going to try and grab a mid 32 (update: mid 29 with new timing), or maybe record at some point. I mean I only really ran this for about a week, I did have quite a few better runs after this PB but I ended up stopping OoT runs for a few months. Just need a couple small optimizations (which do add up quite a bit).

I do like a few things about this run, particularly my movement out of Kakariko as child (I hit the wall briefly but this is the fastest way out that nobody else does, even with the slight error). Here and there some stuff is pretty clean but it's an overall sloppy run, I lost the 32 (29) also to my sloppy Volvagia fight, I didn't have to run back to the position of the hole you'd start at, I guess I just didn't trust myself doing the stab from the other side since I never really was in a position before where that'd be necessary, and didn't want to choke the 32. Well, I wouldn't have if I knew about the timer thing lol. I could've not rolled over and did a crouch stab for the last hit either, jumpslash would've been faster. The front hole in general also causes more lag frames, so just another thing that could've made it 32, but yeah, it's 33:00 on the dot, just needed 1 measly frame!
