GIR Review - X⁴: Foundations
8X⁴: Foundations is a spaceflight and organization simulator. You can fight, trade, explore, build stations, and manage, manage, manage! You can even take a ride in someone else's ship, and they don't mind. Try attacking a station with some carriers!
Most text is available in Russian. Menus and tooltips convey most information in a few words and short phrases. Spacecraft and station statistics abound, letting you know what it is, what it's selling, and what faction it belongs to. The encyclopedia contains additional verbosity. X⁴: Foundations is good for beginners in learning to read Russian.
All speech is available in Russian. Pilots and stations talk to each other, allowing one to listen in. Hear folks request docking, insult each other in combat, or get pulled over! Many quests are also accompanied with an explanation of why and how. Your own ship will also notify you of various things like the activation of autopilot, arrival in a new sector, or the designation of a targeted ship. X⁴: Foundations is a good way to listen to Russian speech.
X⁴ supports mods. Most mods will be in English.
