In 2004 GTA San Andreas pushed the boundaries of what open world games could be. But now in 2021 how does it hold up? Is GTA San Andreas Still Great?

Throughout this GTA San Andreas review, I compare San Andreas to old and new games, to see how it holds up today and how it was ahead of it's time in 2004. I discuss all parts of San Andreas from narrative, to missions, to controls to the open world. And in the end I answer that final question: Is GTA San Andreas Still Great?

I avoided comparsions with 2004 San Andreas and the GTA San Andreas remaster as there's a lot of people doing that already. However, I did play the San Andreas Remaster briefly for this review and overall, I wasn't too impressed. It needs a lot more work. One day I hope we get a full remake of GTA San Andreas rather then a simple remaster.
