if you can't tell by the username and profile picture, i quite enjoy the little guy and his games, and this was no exception. it's not a super deep or complex experience, but i got exactly what i expected.

all of the platforming in this game is pretty simple, plus the fact that you have infinite jumps and powerups makes the game pretty easy in general. the powerups are still fun and pretty creative, so that's cool. all the stages are pretty well designed, though there aren't a ton of levels that i remember a ton. i will say, though, there is a notable difficulty spike in the last world. it's nothing that i couldn't handle, and it still wasn't that hard, but it was noticeable.

there's a story... i guess? the couple of cutscenes give a little bit of context for what's going on but there's not too much to go off of. it's not really anything against the game, because i really don't expect too much from kirby. the characters are pretty basic, and even the enemies don't have too much going for them depth-wise.

the music is SUPER fun and bubbly, exactly what i wanted. every time i hear that intro to the first stage's song, i get a massive smile on my face. the art style is also great, and kirby is just as cute as ever. :DDD

the game made me smile a lot. it's cute and fun, and while quite a few of the gameplay mechanics feel pretty surface level, and the game isn't super hard, i still had quite a good time.
