King's Flame, Fuoco boss fight at the Center of Venigni Works.
Doing this fight without any upgrades was more fun than I expected it to be, especially phase 2. Decided to use the Salamander Dagger for a bit of extra challenge, as Fuoco is strong against fire.
The original intent of this playthrough was for it to feature no leveling and be dagger themed. We’ll see if I keep to that or switch things around once I get further in. Would depend on the how I feel about the duration and movesets of the bosses. Beating the first three this way does make me consider going through the game with at least no leveling and no P-organ as modifiers. The no weapon upgrades will depend on how I feel about the bosses, but for now I feel like it can stay. The reduced damage output did end up making this fight a bit more interesting at least. Using a dagger did also mean I had to get very comfortable with the deflect timings, as not getting the perfect deflects hurts.
Misc timestamps:
02:53 This was a bit scary, good thing the pillar can block the fire AOE otherwise I would have been in a tricky situation.
04:17 I was not aware you could perfect deflect the fireballs Fuoco shoots. That’s a first for me.
