LIVE: 8 Hours of Bahrain Qualifying - Le Mans Virtual Series 2022
233Watch qualifying for the first round of the 2022-23 Le Mans Virtual Series live, preceded by the opening Le Mans Virtual Cup race.
The Le Mans Virtual Series visits the new-for-rFactor 2 Bahrain International Circuit for the very first time, as 40 crews start their Le Mans Virtual Series journeys.
The broadcast will begin with a Le Mans Virtual Series Cup race from Sebring. This is a community-based championship, where anyone with rFactor 2 can qualify. The top two drivers and the end of four rounds earn a seat on the 2023 24 Hours of Le Mans Virtual grid.
This will be held using a grid of identical Ligier JS P320 LMP3 vehicles, with qualifying already decided by an open hot-lap challenge. The race will be a 45-minute affair.
This is then followed by the main series, a 20-minute qualifying session for the GTE class is then followed by a second 20-minute sessions for the top LMPs. Both will set the grid for tomorrow’s (17th September) eight-hour race.
Teams on the grid include manufacturer-backed Porsche, Alpine, Brabham, AMG, Ferrari, Ford and BMW entries, alongside the very best sim racing teams in the world such as reigning champions Team Redline, Romain Grosjean’s eponymous R8G, YAS Heat, Floyd Vanwall-Burst and Proton Coanda Esports.
No fewer than 15 different nations are represented on the team entry list from Europe, the USA, Africa and the Far East.
This is the first round of a season that culminates in the 24 Hours of Le Mans Virtual in January 2023.
