NEW Oschersleben & Rudskogen iRacing Tracks - First Impressions by @DaveCamYT
101Yesterday, our iRacing expert Dave Cam took the new Porsche Mission R Concept Car around the Nürburgring Nordschleife. Today, he’s still wheeling and dealing in the all-electric beast, but this time, it’ll be on the new tracks that iRacing released this week.
Wednesday’s 2022 iRacing Season 4 build update included three new tracks. One that everyone will have, free-with-membership, is the Rudskogen Motorsenter. Then, there’s the Motorsport Arena Oschersleben which is part of the paid content. iRacing also released a brand-new dirt oval in Lucas Oil Speedway, but I don’t think the Porsche Mission R is going to drive well on that surface, unfortunately.
Oscherslebin, located in Germany, measures in at 2.296-miles or 3.70-kilometers for the full Grand Prix course. This particular track does have four layouts, including one with a controversial first chicane. As for Rudskogen, located in Norway, there’s only one layout, measuring 2.022-miles or 3.25-kilometers.
Once again, Dave is hooked up in Qualifying Mode in the Mission R, learning the new tracks in real-time as he sets out for his first laps around both Oscherslebin’s Grand Prix Layout and the almost fictional elevation changes found at Rudskogen. Dave says this one reminds him of a Gran Turismo 7 venue!
