(MAJOR SPOILERS) Fire Emblem Heroes Book 6 Chapter 10-5 Fandub: “Father…”
4*WHEEEEEZE* Video 199, guys! The teased animatic is going to be video 200, and I cannot wait to finally get it done the way I like it!
So backstory time: to make a long story short, I held off on playing the latest chapter of FEH due to irl stuff (and finally experiencing that prime age young adults start to get that only 37 year old parents should be getting due to a filled schedule), and yesterday was when I finally got to it. Come the last part of Book 6 Chapter 10, and not only was my emotions on the floor, my head decided, “Hey Xiaomu! Do angst fan dubbing because it sounds fun!” That, I complied with, for once in my life, and this is the result!
FEH belongs to Nintendo and Intelligent Systems, but the gameplay itself was recorded in game from my iPad. Both Ash and Askr were voiced by me for this, although I had to use a voice changer for the latter because I actually couldn’t stop coughing every time I tried to do a masculine voice for him (which later turned out to be a coughing fit). Same thing with Ash, but it was more for the delicate lines that I couldn’t hit with my voice normally. I really hope to learn a bit more on how to vocalize my own voice for certain characters for later on, but please don’t be mad at me for this. ;w;
Music played during this is Id (Serenity), originally from Fire Emblem: Awakening, and although this actually does play during the scene itself in the game, I had to find that same audio to overlay the existing in-game one because of how the scene is played out (I believe got it from GilviaSumner Archive, if I recall). Lastly, there is a drawing shown at the end of the video, and before anyone asks, I was the one who drew that. It actually took me 30 minutes to finish it (shocked that I got it done so fast myself, tbh), and chances are, there may be a possibility that I would do a digital version of that drawing someday. I hope y’all enjoy this detour of a feelings freight train my brain told me to do just because it looked fun!
