This is my World Record Run of Need For Speed 3: Hot Pursuit in Country Woods (Backwards) for both the best lap category and the total 2 lap time category as well for Simulation Mode. The rules for this category are pretty straightforward as its basically do your best run in a particular track however since i am using a emulator, i have to keep the FPS display on as per their request. Country Woods while going backwards is one of the few tracks where you will get quicker lap times compared to going forward and thats because this track will basically get another shortcut that you can only use going backwards: in the U-turn section you can skip that corner by jumping at the very beginning of it and just respawn the car so you can quickly get back on track. The shortcut that you use going forward is also much easier to go through backwards as the placement of the trees is in such a way that you can follow a viable racing line going through it and that saves you time as you dont have to respawn in there anymore. The game will seem like its freezing while you are going through that shortcut as it lags alot in there but thats because the game needs to draw the next portion of the track very quickly to compensate for you taking the shortcut so keep that lag in mind so it wont throw your cornering off. Just like Country Woods forward, this one also takes alot of tries to get a good run as not only such sections are very tricky going backwards but also do to missed entries in the shortcuts basically results in a auto reset. The reset i did at the beginning of the video wasnt because of a error but actually because of a ingame audio glitch that can rarely happen mid-race and that can throw me off so i restarted for that and to also made the video glitch free as its annoying listening to that glitched audio.
