This is my World Record Run of Need For Speed 3: Hot Pursuit in Country Woods (Forward) for both the best lap category and the total 2 lap time category as well for Simulation Mode. The rules for this category are pretty straightforward as its basically do your best run in a particular track however since i am using a emulator, i have to keep the FPS display on as per their request. Country Woods is the 1st of the Expert variations of the tracks with this one being the Expert Variant of Hometown, combines the initial high speed sections of hometown but then goes to very tricky slow and tight corners to slow and winding corners so finding the perfect Gear Ratio setup for this track is crucial to get the best times. This track also has a very crucial shortcut you will have to take as it saves a ton of time but the trick here is that the shortcut is extremely hard to properly go through while going forward in this track so one thing you can do to massively increase consistency of your attempts is to do the shortcut in a way that when you press to manually respawn, the game will put you on the other side of the track. This shortcut can make your laps more than 5 seconds faster so you must take it for a good run in this track. This is also the only track that you need to abuse the respawn in the shortcut to be faster and this is perfectly legal to do in a speedrun as you are still in the track and not going out of bounds (otherwise this would be on another category). This track requires alot of tries to a get a good run mostly because of the shortcut as if you do it wrong, the game wont respawn you on the other side and if that happens then the run is pretty much over.
