So wie "DOOM" von 2016 ein lose auf den Ereignissen des 1993 "DOOM" basiert, so basiert "DOOM Eternal" lose auf den Ereignissen von "DOOM II: Hell On Earth" aus dem Jahre 1994.
Dieses Mal haben die Dämonen die Erde überannt und es gibt nur einen Mann, der ihnen Einhalt gebieten kann: Den DOOMSLAYER, eine unstoppbare Kraft im Kampf gegen die Dämonen, der niemals Ruhe gibt bis nicht auch der letzte der Höllenbrut seine Eingeweide verteilt.

Mit seiner Story, seinem Gameplay, dem gnadenlos blutigen Gewaltgrad, kompromissloser, herausfordernder Shooter-Action, einem fantastischen treibenden Metal-Soundtrack und den perfekt ineinander verzahnten komplexen Mechaniken gilt "DOOM Eternal" mit Abstand als das beste moderne DOOM-Erlebnis. Ein Meilenstein des Egoshooter-Genres.

As "DOOM" of 2016 was a loose adaption of the original 1993 "DOOM", "DOOM Eternal" is a loose adaption of "DOOM II: Hell On Earth" from 1994.
This time demons have overrun Earth and there is only one man who can stop them: The DOOMSLAYER, an unstoppable force in fighting off demons, who never rests until the very last of the Hellspawn disperses its innards.

With its story, gameplay, the merciless bloody level of violence, uncompromising, challenging shooter action, a marvelous metal soundtrack that makes the blood boil and the perfectly organic complex gameplay mechanics "DOOM Eternal" is by far the best modern DOOM experience that one can have. A milestone of the first person shooter genre.
