Welcome back everybody! To Let's play Oxygen Not Included Gameplay, part 3. Today we will be building water tanks! Water tanks are player build structures and are as the name says – the way to collect and store water as there is no dedicated furniture right now in Oxygen Not Included to store liquids! For start we will try to build ourselves and contaminated water tank, as there is easy to practice on something not needed as much or on something we won’t regret loosing! The Oxylite are slowly diapering so its also time to put those algae terrariums from the previous episode of Oxygen Not Included in to use! Make sure you have algae and some water to make them work, they will turn bad oxygen in to good oxygen, the other plants from the planter stations and the plants growing in the wild in Oxygen Not Included caves at the current state of the game won’t make you any oxygen or bad oxygen so they are save to use but then again don’t think they work as they use to work on earth! In Oxygen Not Included there is also the job section where we can tell our colonists to do a specific job or not do it at all! An runner is a great person to set up on making electricity duty in the hamster wheel power generator the one we start in Oxygen Not Included. While somebody slow but good with mining will be better at making new caves around the colony for more rooms! For making the contaminated water tank we will need more research as well Time to discover pluming! With it we can build pumps, liquids pipes and liquid vent! Those items will allow us to play with water to make our colony in Oxygen Not Included even better! When it comes to building tanks I found out that to not make any loose in water in Oxygen Not Included we need to first build a tank and then transfer the water to the place where we want it to be! However member that Oxygen Not Included is still in early access what it means some of the mechanism are still not working. What i mean by that that the walls you build in Oxygen Not Included matter from what resources you make them. The stronger the material the better it will work for the water tank where is lots of pressure but also the water is heavy so building a tank out of weak materials make turn out in a flood and you really don’t want to loose any water in Oxygen Not Included! The Jobs menu is a great way to put the best workers in to the job they will make the best performance! Its also an good idea to build bed rooms of said colony workers near the places where they work, with expectation of course of the minters as they need to travel around anyway! But building an bed room close to the generator room with runners will save you some time, and make more power in the end as they will waste less time walking more time working. While the colony is been constructed I though making lots of algae terrariums is a good idea, well in theory it is. As they will recycle the bad air in to good air for our colony however what I did’t notice are the materials the terraria use in the longer run the terraria will backfire at the colony quite soon and we will need to find and solution to it as soon as possible!
