If you're able to keep yourself onto the Purple Lum, then when it disappears, it will move to it's initial position, which will cause Rayman to get a ridiculously long rope.
Furthermore, the game will think Rayman is in it's normal state. So if you manage to hug the floor, you're able to jump and shoot and in the air hover and shoot. But even though normal actions apply, you're still stuck in the swinging of the Purple Lum. So assuming you can't deathwarp, it ends in a softlock.
Another interesting observation is, if the Purple Lum teleports to it's initial position while you're in the backswing of your animation, it will instead launch you upwards a bit and the swinging cancels out.
It's unfortunate that the rope decreases in length really quickly and that not deathwarping softlocks. If not for those 2 things, you would be able to skip both orbs and go to the mask room.
