R.A.D. is a game that had to be seen to be believed. Being one of the PS2's cult classics, the game combines huge robot battles (with a realistic sense of scale) with absolutely horrible acting (so bad that it's good) and was inspired by the games it's based off of, the Japan-only "Remote Control Dandy" series which originated on the original Playstation (it was developed by the same people who did the PS2 RCD). The idea of the game is very simple and plays out like an anime. You control a young boy or girl and go through the game as a member of "The Trillenium Committee". You're quickly presented with the task of piloting a giant humanoid weapon to stop evil robots from destroying entire cities.

The game doesn't change too much and may seem repetitive, but you can choose a few robots to spice things up and events in the game can change depending on how you handle battles. While different enemies have different tactics, most can be subdued with a well placed uppercut or karate chop. I love knocking robots up in the air and then charging my arm until I swing with a powerful hook and send em' flying... it's like robot baseball. Anyway, the only things is that you'll have to get used to the controls, but it's good fun and good for a laugh.

Bones handled several elements within the game, like the character artwork... you can kinda tell if you've ever watched "Wolf's Rain".
