Welcome to the finale of the trilogy of the EOrigins Collections, EOIHD or also simply EOHD. This is the last game in the origins, which is the game that started it all. On journeying and rejourneying EO, this will be the only version of 1 I'll be tackling seriously, as for the remake/U...... it will be tackled after the megamixes of EO (EON/EOX and EMD) and it will be tackled in a different way and might be not serious, and more of casual for the various reasons. So far if you want my opinion of definitive version of playing 1, I think this is the definitive to play the game, for me imo. Also this will be only commentated only. Unfortunately looks like setting the audio of the game to min, made the game audio recorded very weak, so I'm sorry about that, next time, I'm making it back to the medium volume it has.
This part tackles both B1F and B2F(well as much as possible that you can explore on this one, since few of them are being guarded by FOEs), and a bit of B3F. Overall so far, not that really hard atm, tho my OC Landy Gluttonee dies a number of times in this run. As for quest, well there are still a number that we can't do atm, especially some of them looks like it can only be done B3F, and as far as I remember, there are no gathering points in B2F. Also Ren&Tlatchga! Welp, I guess it's been a while.
So I forgot to follow up I think on the level difference mechanic this game has, and this is the only game that does that, even on the DS originally. I think even with the difficulties, the mechanic is still applied, just barely matter in Picnic, and kind of mattered to Basic. Basically, if you're lower than the level of the enemy, you take more damage and enemy takes less damage, otherwise, it's the reverse if you're higher. The maximum dmg penalty of either side you can get is 20 levels difference, and basically 0 levels is just normal. So there's benefits to overlevel at least in this game, and mostly can't be avoided in this game, due to long trekking of back and forth.
Again, so far in this run, despite of Gluttonee, dying a number of times in this run, it's still currently good so far.
Next time, we clearing some quest alongside clearing B3F and B4F, and maybe some FOEs to kill.
Anyway, I hope you enjoy!
