I built an underwater pipeline to take loot all the way from underwater labs to inside my base in Rust. Underwater labs is one of the most lucrative monuments for acquiring scrap, which is used to learn the blueprints of items in crafting. So of course, I wanted to automate the process of looting this monument and make it as efficient as possible. This meant first scuba diving to the bottom of the ocean and building foundations all the way to as close to the labs as possible and then using vending machines as deployables every 30 metres to place storage adapters on and then connect the pipes all the way into my base.
Building something like this is bound to draw attention though, and unfortunately for me, I drew it from the worst people possible. Cheaters. While I was chilling down in underwater labs building up some resources, I heard a faint explosion in the distance, somewhat towards the direction of my base. Quickly respawning back at home to make sure I wasn’t getting my back door blown in, I realised a large group was raiding my neighbours base. Fortunately it wasn’t my base, but unfortunately I pushed my luck by engaging with the group and they weren’t happy with that, then turning their attention to my base. I managed to hold them off for a 20 minutes before they got banned.
