I built a pipeline that takes loot all the way from the oil rig to inside my base. One of the biggest issues playing solo is that you can never carry all the loot you acquire from places like the oil rig, so I decided to set up a system that sends the loot back home for me. It didn’t happen without its issues though. The first problem I came across was that pipes only have a maximum length of 30 metres. This was easy to fix though, by using combiners I was able to extend this as far as I needed. However this caused my next problem. I planned on building this pipeline along the ocean floor, until I discovered that combiners cant be placed underwater. This meant I needed to build from the ocean floor to the surface every 30 metres, something that would take a lot of resources. Luckily for me not too far away from my base was the stone quarry and right next door to that was the outpost. I could turn diesel into stone at the quarry and then use the vending machine at outpost to convert it to wood. And, after many hours of building I had laid enough pipe to hopefully convince you to subscribe.
